Ron is a co-founder of the Process for Personal Change. He co-authored the book Where Freedom Begins, which describes this intensive family-of-origin therapy he delivers with a team of therapists in a structured 2-month intensive psychotherapy program. He holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Santa Clara University.

Ron’s early training was in group encounters. He trained in Client-Centered therapy and small group processing with Dr. Carl Rogers. He also trained and worked for 20 years as a colleague with Dr. Will Schutz, another encounter group pioneer and developer of Fundamental Interpersonal Relationship Theory and The Human Element Program for Organizations.

Ron worked with Ralph Metzner, a psychologist who collaborated with Timothy Leary and Ram Dass at Harvard University, to explore the therapeutic potential of various psychedelics. He was introduced to mindfulness and meditation practice by Allan Watts and continues a variety of integral practices.

Ron co-authored the best-selling book Radical Collaboration: Five Essential Skills to Overcome Defensiveness and Build Successful Relations. He presents Radical Collaboration Training and certifications around the world.

Ron has developed and delivered social and emotional intelligence programs for leaders and teams for many Fortune 500 companies, including Boeing, Proctor and Gamble, Seagram, and non-profits, including NASA, the United Nations, the U.S. Army, and the Stockholm School of Economics. He was a senior consultant with Business Consultants of Japan and developed their Executive Social Intelligence year-long program for Japanese corporate executives and CEOs.

Ron is also available to business and corporations for on-site sessions in organizational consulting, team building and stress management.
